Book Review: Dangerous Comforts by Rickie Blair

I’ve enjoyed every one of Rickie Blair’s series of financial thrillers. Set around heroine Ruby Danger, they feature her and her partner Hari Bhatt in a series of adventures having to do with high finance, deadly villains, and interesting locales. They usually include a sex scene that I could do without, but not all that explicit.

Dangerous Comforts is the third book in the Ruby Danger series. In it, Ruby and her partner each find themselves separately in Las Vegas. One’s investigating a case of credit card fraud at a casino, the other investigating mortgage fraud while she’s supposed to be taking time off. Naturally their paths cross as they sink deeper into a terrifying conspiracy involving mobsters of the most brutal sort. It’s a suspenseful book that pulls you in and delivers a thrill-ride you won’t soon forget.

The book contains some sexual scenes and elements. If, like me, you prefer books where you don’t have to skim pages, then consider carefully. But if you do read Dangerous Comforts, get comfortable and lay in a supply of snacks, because you won’t want to put it down.
